Escape Alert LLC is proposing to develop an implantable microchip for pets with GPS tracking which will enable pet owners to track their pet’s exact location if lost or stolen. A fundraising campaign is scheduled to run on Kickstarter.com from September 23rd thru November 11th, 2014 in order to fund the development of a prototype according to the DogChannel.com.
Escape Alert plans to self-power the pet microchip using piezo-electrical nanogenerator clomid which creates power from mechanical movement such as walking or moving your arms.
The estimated price of the GPS enabled pet microchip is $99 to $129 according to the DogChannel.com.
