Chewy, a leading e-commerce retailer of pet products, supplies and prescriptions, is accusing a software provider and a competing pharmacy company of conspiring to divert prescriptions placed with Chewy according to JAVMA NEWS.
The lawsuit was filed in New York state in May by Chewy against Vetcove (an online purchasing platform) and Covetrus which provides pharmacy services for veterinary practices.
THE COMPLAINT STATES:
“Vetcove and Covetrus intentionally interfere with the pet parent’s order of regulated pet products placed with Chewy.”
